Serge has been asking to see updated pics of my tiny tiny messy messy shop, so I will post what I have so far -
they are not the most up to date pics unfortunately, as my camera refused to work properly about 2 months ago - these are that old at least {except the mold pic which I managed to get the crappy cam to take a few weeks ago}
I thought I would get a cam for Xmas - but all I got was a lump of coal.
OK here goes, here are the pics of the thickness sander when it was being built

its completed now barring some final tweaking.
Some messy workbench photos

resident shop alien

bandsaw with homemade fence {being built}

the legs have ben cutoff to make it Charlie sized {No Im not a little person, Im in a whelchair for those that are going huh?}

box of clamps

gobar deck and workstation

I dont drink so this wine rack holds plans now

Please dont think less of me for the shoddy construction of my work tables - Im planning on making a skookum laminated maple top work table with built in vice his spring - so these were strictly temp from the get-go.

Thanks God I have a closet to store Some of the junk I have laying around.

can you see some zoot hiding in there?

A mold in the process of being built

Me and the wife need to get another digital camera together soon - so hopefull I will be able to show you guys something more up to date soon.
Its a work in progress, I cant wait to start building but Im oly able to do what I can for now.
Steady as she goes.
Cheers

Thanks Hesh - I put alot of it together shabbily {parts of it I intend to replace or upgrade}
But only so I could build in as fast as time as possible.
It takes me a little longer to do things now than it used to before I was injured {frustrating} but I have learned to be a little more patient, which Im sure will come in handy down the road.
Cheers

I didn't bother to clean up, there is no way I can achieve the order that Hesh has obtained.

Actually, it's an innovative dust collector for the table saw.

Ok I'll post a few

But first some curls

And now the shop pics

Looking in the front door

From the back corner (spray booth) back to the doorway

The go-bar work area

And the mess

Ok, here's the mess and a couple of helpful storage units.

And the zoot loft

All this in 185 square feet. I'd get lost if I doubled it Rod True39080.8032175926

Beautiful dogwood Bruce. We had a pink one and a white one in the side yard with I was a wee one. I didn't know that dogwoods grew that far southwest.

Charlie, all i can say is WOW Bud, talk about a lot done in a short time bro, especially if these are old pics! i sure hope you can get another camera to show us where you're at now my friend, i think you're shop is evolving in the right direction with the building of all the jigs and the adjustments you've made to the bandsaw and the home made fence!

Can't wait to see your drum sander too, as you know, i've built myself one and am curious to see your design, looks pretty sturdy and nice from what i see here, i predict that a very great sounding and awesome looking guitar will come out of that shop in the coming year or less, keep up the good work bro!

Cheers

Too late Dave, we've got a pic to prove it you neat freak you!

I'm gettin' there also bud, they say a couple of years before the shop really works to our advantage, it will be 2 years for me in march of next year!

Bruce, that was too funny

Great looking shop fellas, a lot can be learned from great threads like this one, thanks all!

Lillian,
Yes, when we first moved here, I transplanted eleven small ones from the hillside to the front yard. three lived several years, down to two now, but they are so pretty when in bloom and in the fall as well with their red berries. Squirrels love 'em, also help propagate by seed distribution.

Hesh, I couldn't find my camera, honest. Those two shots are from my website.

This is a glueup of the OLF FOLK Guitar Neck sent to John Kinnaird as a bandsawed neck blank. Rosewood center two maple stripes and genuine mahogany. The guitars in the back are a Grand Auditorium and Dred.

Here's a few pics of our shed.

Here's Mark who kindly lent us his shed and who, as you can see, has been at Le Fridge.

Tools and stickered wood.

Workbench

Gobar and Fox bender

Ye olde potters wheel radius sander

Miscellaneous machinery

Le Fridge

Another view

And last but most certainly not least - What's in Le Fridge.

As all of you zoot zealots will appreciate the only reason that we need Le Fridge for is the 3 bottles of HHG in the top right hand corner.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

In spite of my previous attempt at humor: Thanks all for great pics-They start ideas rolling around my head-like BB in boxcar.
I will soon be finished stting up shop in my very modest room-will post pics. HOWEVER, I will shoot pic w/ 24mm lens. I can hear the comments now 'Hey, what's going on with Bob Johnson-'very modest'?-he has a dang factory there, mut be making one a day at least...' bob J39081.3288078704

Every shop pictured here makes me jealous! Nice stuff!
I wish I had more room, but if it ever happens that I could build as a living, I can always kick out the tenant from our little cottage and use it as a final assembly/finishing area.
I really love the old school rustic looks of your shop Arnt - I would love to have something that looks that incredible one day!
Cheers
